MICHAEL MONTOYA

 

After moving to Los Angeles in 2005 Michael’s dance choreography won 1st place in the USA/Hip Hop International Championship (now known as: America’s Best Dance Crew) making him and his crew 2005 USA champions. This helped land him a role in Sony Pictures/Interscope Record's  stage production of “The Playground”.  The following year he became the shows musical director/composer. This project opened the doors to Interscope records and led Michael to some consultant work for recording artists: Pink, Don Robinson (of En Vogue & Lucy Pearl) and collaborating with recording artist: Beth Hart. Michael Montoya’s music has been featured on NBC’s “The Ellen Degeneres show” and ABC’s “The Batchelorette”. Michael is currently the creative director of production for BreakOut studios and is the co-host of two podcasts (MyFriendJoePodcast.com &LifeMovesPodcast.com)

ADDISON JOHNSON

Addison Johnson, born and raised in Tucson Az, started his love for hip hop dance in 7th grade. Starting in a breakdancing ministry through his church, he quickly realized that dance was a gift that had been given to him. Dancing with various organizations around Tucson lead him to The Human Project Urban Dance Co. in 2006. Dancing with the company quickly helped him find a love for choreography and the art of creativity. He has been teaching dance and gymnastics since 2006. Addison has had the opportunity to teach in throughout Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, California and Uganda Africa. Competing, He has been awarded multiple “Top Male Soloist” awards at various dance competitions and in 2008, was chosen as one of America’s top 200 dancers, making it to Las Vegas on Season 4 of So You Think You Can Dance. In 2009 Addison Co-Directed and Co-Choreographed Old Tucson Studios Nightfall show " Necrosis Party of Six". After dancing in The Human Project for 5 years (2 of those being a Principal Dancer/Asst. Director), he left the company to start new ventures. Addison went on to help manage and back up dance for a Professional Michael Jackson impersonator. He also contributes to the local and national HipHop scene by battling and judging battles regularly. Addison teaches and mentors dancers all over Arizona. He is currently training with his crew, The Boogie Pimps, in Tucson Arizona.

CHAZELE RODRIGUEZ

Chezale is a professional dancer/choreographer/performer out of Arizona. With her roots out of Pittsburgh, PA and having a strong background in music, she also shares another life-long love with dance. She has studied dance in a classroom environment for just under 15 years. Her strengths are in the dance forms of Hip Hop and Jazz. She has developed her skill as a student and choreographer, belonging to high school/college dance group DiverCity for 2 years and also The Human Project Urban Dance Theatre for over 6 years. Now, she is continuing to hone her craft and pursue her passion as a choreographer and instructor, with plans to start her own professional dance business. She has an extensive resume that she is still building upon that includes: Several teaching and performance gigs, professional dance workshops & auditions attended, dance education at both Pima Community College & the University of Arizona, and also receiving recognition and accolades for her work. Still considering herself a student of dance because of the continuous learning process, she wants to reach new heights and teach others the amazing art and culture of DANCE! www.chezalepresents.com

ANTHONY

REYES

Anthony Reyes was born and raised in the south side of Tucson Az. With his mother, a Popper, and his father, a BBoy, in their earlier years, automatically shifted his interests toward the Hip Hop culture. He started dancing professionally at about 14years old. He danced for groups such as Human Project(TUC) and helped create Motion Theory (PHX). Anthony moved to Los Angeles in 2007, which led to him dancing for artists such as Gnarls Barkley, Cassidy and Pras of the Fugees, a commercial for Acura and also the feature films Dance Flick and FAME. He was also a part of the 2008 Hip Hop International USA Champions, Flos Angeles. Following these accomplishments, Anthony began instructing at the world famous dance studio Debbie Reynolds. Anthony now resides in Tucson, teaching and mentoring the youth. His love for Hip Hop culture drives him to learn and spread knowledge everyday.
